Leather seats in all BMW models?

would a 535i, 2011 'not' have leather seats but instead ''premium synthetic'' ?!!
Do all 535 2011's have 'dynamic damping control ?
and finally would a 535i 2011 'not' have dual-choice for 'comfort mode ''or'' sports' but in fact just have one type of suspension? i.e. luxury ride vs. sports -ride
many thanks for your help ...

Leather was optional in 2011 528's and 535i's. The standard interior was black or beige "leatherette" (vinyl). It's very rare to see a 5-series without leather, and it was also part of the premium package, as well as a stand-alone option.

All 2011 535i's do NOT have dynamic damping control -- that was an option I believe, as well as part of the Sport package, and later MSport pkg. I have a "base" 535i without dynamic suspension control. The ride is somewhere between "normal" and "sport", from reports from other forum members. It is not like "Comfort" mode.

2011 only had active dampers as follows:

Non-MSport with SPort package (required in order to purchase) Dynamic Handling Package.
MSport, which came with Dynamic Handling Package.

Dynamic Handling Package consists of active shocks and active anti roll bars.

If you see a 2011 with the comfort / sport switch, it may be that it has the 2TB option - SPort Auto transmission. This is the sleeker looking, leather gaited shifter and also has the shift paddles on the steering wheel. It came with the same rocker switch next to the shifter, but it only changes the steering, transmission and throttle - not the suspension.

Thanks for the above information - there are so many options/choices for the BMW my head is swimming !
How important is DDC ? is it a 'safety' factor? do you miss having it ? if done again, would you get a BMW W/O it ?!
prior to today i didn't even know there was such a thing as a 'base' level ! ... can you tell me what that means ? we tired a '12 with dual control of ''comfort/sports' with & without the 'sports package' which means i think the seats are different ... yikes ... guess my questions is 'why' would one choose a 'base' over the 535's (2011 ++) that are loaded with upgrades i.e. sports pkg/m sports package ...hope i haven't confused you - so appreciate your help ! regarding DHP ... knowing as little as i do about cars (excpet how to spend money on them)...how important is DHP ? can one enjoy a BMW W/O that option?...
i'm looking at one tomorrow (i think) that doesn't have a choice of 'comfort/sports' as does the 2012's... (if i have my facts straight)... i think what we'll see is a 'base' ... thanks again for your reply !!!

By "base" I meant I have the standard suspension on my 535i, no dynamic handling or sport packages. I've had 3 BMW's (2 3-series before my current 5), and none of them had the sport package. To me, they all handle above average, just like a BMW should. A lot of enthusiasts on this forum wouldn't have a BMW without some sport setup, but in reality, a lot of us like a car that always handles a cut above the rest without the harsher suspension setups. It's all a matter of personal preference and need.

Now i understand what you were saying !!! Then we wouldn't want a harsh suspension either in 'today's BMW because we= e had a 2000 740iL ...and i later found out it was 'not' the sports model - back then ( if i have my facts straight) it was either/or ; ''luxury' model 'or' sports model - you couldn't get 'both' on the same car, and ours was 'luxury' because i looked up the vin...DH loved the ride of that car so then he will be fine w/o the word 'sports' involved !!. and if i understand it all, 'dynamic-handling '' isn't necessary if the car we see tomorrow is a 'base' because that feature is necessary when 'sports' is involved i.e. ability to change the ride from 'normal to comfort to sports to Msports' within one vehicle. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me ! much appreciated ! edythe
