Radio voulme question

When I turn off my car with the radio set at a given volume, the radio does not retain that volume and comes back on at a much lower volume.

Is there a setting that controls the radio volume where the normal user volume is retained when the car or radio is turned off ?

thanks in advance.

It may be related to whether you use the speed dependent volume control. I am speculating however.

Isn't that normal. It is in any car I've ever had. I have never had a BMW though.
