7 Series - E65 / E66 (2002 - 2008)
Discussion of BMW's 4th generation E65/E66 7 Series flagship. The E65 generated much controversy, due to its radical styling and iDrive user difficulties. Nonetheless, the E65 broke records to become the best-selling 7-series iteration ever, especially after its 2005 facelift.

BTUM CPT8000 has no light

I have been reading posts on here for some time but I coudln't find a solution to my problem and I'm hoping someone can help me. I have an 02 E65 with the CPT 8000 and the blue light is never on.

I read that the 9k models have this issue becaue they don't seat into the cradle properly, however, mine doesn't have a cradle. I have tried unplugging/plugging it in several times with no avail. I took the unit apart and it's warm, so I know it's getting power but still no light. I would just order a new BTUM but I'm not sure it's the problem. Anyone know what it can be or how to diagnose this?
