At some point features had to be dropped to make a quick, clean interface.

I can't figure out how to quote a post in a reply. Been searching but still don't get it.
Maybe it's one of those things that's obvious once you know how.
Can someone help?
Thanks

Tap the post in the bimmerapp (I am assuming you're talking about the bimmerapp - as this is what the thread appears to be about) - and then a bubble appears with 3 options - "Quote - Share - More"

Tap "Quote" and the reply box appears with the previous post automatically "quoted":

i see the quote button but I can't click it.
Do I click it first then go to the message? Do I go to the message first then click quote?
neither one seems to work.
I know I'm missing something, but it sure isn't obvious to me.
What I've done, which I think is really kludge-y, is to copy and past the selected portion of the previous post in my reply.
There has to be a better way, I'm sure. I just don't know what it is!
Thanks

Bottom right side of the post that you want to quote, you have 3 buttons. The leftmost is Quote, the middle one is "+ . The first one is to quote, the second is to mark for a multi quote.

When you click the first one, "Quote", it will open a posting editing window and the post will be copied already into that window, surrounding with a [ Quote] ... [ /Quote] brackets.

If that doesn't happen to you, then something is wrong.

The second " mark button only turns red when you click it. You marked that post to be quoted. (You can mark a multiple posts that way at the same time). Then you must click to post a new post and all the posts that you marked will be in that editing window. So try that one too if the first one does not work for you.

.
Thanks all for the hlp with the quote business. I just solved the dilemmna. For some reason, when viewing BimmerFest on my work computer using either IE or Chrome, I don't see the QUOTE button on the bottm right (or anywhere). I don't know why.

I just noticed while using IE at home (now), that the 3 buttons are there, including QUOTE.

So now I can QUOTE parts of messages in my posts just like the 'cool kids'.
