E39 (1997 - 2003)
The BMW 5-Series (E39 chassis) was introduced in the United States as a 1997 model year car and lasted until the 2004 when the E60 chassis was released. The United States saw several variations including the 525i, 528i, 530i and 540i. -- View the E39 Wiki

Thanks. That's my 1999 528i. I am the second owner. I got it last year with 23,000 miles. It now has 28,000.
I don't notice any difference with the strut bar. It just adds a little BLING under the hood.

The one benefit I saw in a strut bar for a car that will never run on a track is the additional beef it provides on the top of the strut tower for cars with stiffer suspension. I too never really noticed a difference with mine but it sure looks cool.

Mushroomed strut towers are not a pretty sight.
