318i will not start

Hello Guys just joined as looking for info and hope you can help.

My 318i coupe is a 2004 and done 110,000 miles so not too high.
Just parked up and now it will not start at all.

Turn the key and the ignition lights come on but it just does nothing else. It will not crank over. There is no clicking noise or anything, it make no effort to crank at all.

There is 12 volts in the battery so i`m guessing its an immoberliser problem. EWS ?

Hoping you guys can tell me whats best to do next without putting it into a bmw dealership or is that the only answer.

grateful for any help you can offer

cheers

If your battery has some juice in it and you have a manual transmission then put it in 2nd gear, have somebody push it/roll it and drop the clutch. If your ignition is working than your battery most likely has enough power to start the alternator. Your starter motor may be shot.

Have your battery load-tested. Just because it shows 12 volts across the terminals means absolutely nothing....it might not have any cranking amps to back it up.
