BMW 5er Individual colours

This afternoon, arriving to Munich, I paid a visit to BMW Niderlassung and found some 5er with amazing colours. Each of these Individual colours cost €4.900 extra.

Individual Victoria Orange


Individual Cognac


Individual Kastanienbraun

I really wish we could get the wagon! Thanks for sharing the pictures, the colors are beautiful!

Not feeling it, sorry. It is cool that they offer these colors tho. Any idea what color the X3 or X5 is? (in the picture the car is behind the orange beemer). Is it flat black?

Agreed, they seem kind of unappealing to me.

On the other hand, that flat colour (I think it's black or brown) is really cool looking.

It is a matte colour called, I think, frozen brown.

Our local dealership has a 3-series with that paint job. Its pretty striking. I think they perhaps did it locally as an aftermarket thing, rather than a factor thing.

While it looks cool in a showroom, not sure how I'd like it in my garage for several years.

BMW really isn't on the cutting edge, IMO, when it comes to color options. I think Audi does a better job offering up interesting non-mainstream options. BMW tends to pay things too conservatively, even when offering "Individual" colors. Not to say I would buy some of the more garish Audi offerings, but they do spice up the line-up a bit.

My wife drives a 'Rame' (burnt orange) Fiat 500 which looks pretty cool but I'm not in love with the 5er in that hue. I like the Kastanienbraun 5er shown above.

I hear you. I have no idea. It would be cool to see how the look holds up after a few years of real life driving.

I saw this car at BMW Morristown. The buyer is a car collector/investor. The car will be stored and never driven

I saw the new Audi A6 in a shade of orange recently in Dresden (45 minutes from Frankfurt by air). If I were in the market for one, that would be my color of choice. It was spectacular without being extravagant, but I wasn't fast enough to pull out my camera and snap a picture. It's not one of the standard colors (at least in the US).

I think it is frozen bronze, the same color of the Gran Coupe in all of the photos when it was intorduced. If you go the the BMW UK configurator for the Gran Coupe, frozen bronze is an available individual color.

I believe the color of the M3 in the showroom at Sonnen BMW in Marin was "Frozen Silver". Quite a head-turner. But not cheap.

This is the only blue I saw on the new 5 series; Individual Deep See Blue.

I have double checked and the X5 is Frozen Black.

And here is one more: Individual Champagne Quartz Metallic.

I don't see why this would be an Individual color, when it is a stock X5/6 color. More specifically, it is a "Priority One" color with Vermillion Red. Doesn't cost anything extra

It's a stock F10 color too. But if you want it on an M-Sport F10 then it becomes an Individual color. They quoted me $5500 extra for a Deep Sea Blue 550i M-Sport. Naturally I went with imperial blue instead.

BMW being a bunch of money grabbing bastards if you ask me.

Yeah I mean seriously - if you are building to order anyway, they should comp you DSB on an M-Sport F10. It costs them nothing - no tooling nothing. They even make this body shape in DSB for other markets. It's not like anybody is paying up the $5500 - this is simply rigidity at the expense of customer satisfaction.

I have friends with Mercedes who have been able to get non-standard paint/interior combinations for free on cars that were build to order. Audi charges a reasonable $3k for any color in the VAG portfolio (i.e. real custom color choice).

i know our fellow festers gets upset if we say Audi is better with this packaging but that's the truth!

Wow, that is pathetic.

No wonder BMW's profit margins are so high and they can offer such huge incentives. They rip us off every way they can.

There is no reason why little things like heated seats, leather, bluetooth, etc should be optional extras.

Audi charges $3k for ANY color in the VAG color collection (truly custom) and I bet MB is reasonable too. $5,500 just because you also paid them more money to get the M-Sport is just greedy
