SOLUTION: Facelift E83 X3 angel eyes as DRL

You can use your original angel eyes as DRL. You need:

1) For controlling lights over original iBus system you need to buy eLight standard package: http://www.car-solution.de/index.php...category_id=14
2) To have brighter Angel Eyes, you need to replace the bulbs to the highest wattage LED bulbs. Currently, highest seems to be 25W Cree solution. Different sellers on ebay. However, here is one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-LED-MARK...19aebd&vxp=mtr

Controller 119 eur is abt. 150 USD and you in addition you need 70 USD bulbs. So, all together it is abt. 220 USD / 175 EUR.

Not cheap, however, in my opinion it is the best solution and you do not need to connect any additional wires for your Angel Eyes and also you do not have to worry abot any fault codes. Also, you automatic headlight switching system and corner lights work as in standard.

In addition, eLight controller is programmable, you can choose if you like to run fog lights or angel eyes as DRL. Also, you can program sequence and duration of the complete lighting system for car locking/unlocking. Locking/unlocking (christmas tree) demo:
