Anyone have any experience with Meyle thrust arms (HD)?
Yes, I know of the TRW/Lemforder and Meyle HD combo at EAC, but I'm wondering if it's really worth the extra $100 over straight Meyle arms (with HD bushings). The arms themselves seem to be very similar and under normal driving I do not see failing before the joints, so at this point it's a really a question of the longevity of the ball joints between the two, TRW and Meyle?
I assume it is a pita as well to change out just the ball joints on these arms? EDIT: N/m, they look pretty good based on some reading on the M5board. Particular example: 27k miles, no problems. Ball joints also look like they're serviceable/replaceable. Last edited by hendogg8; 10-08-2012 at 10:53 PM. |

You can't replace just the ball joints. It's the whole arm only when the ball joints fail.
