Service help advice

Hi...I bought a 2009 328xi with 33,000 miles on it from an independent dealer and it is still under warranty. I am new to BMW family. Can you let me know what kind of service maintenance request should I schedule from local BMW dealer? Are there any major services performed at 36,000 miles? Thanks for your help.

You need to find the vehicle in service date to see if there is remaining maintenance coverage. 4 yr 50 K miles

YOu are entitled to a once a year oil change free

About the only other thing you get out of the free maintenance is a brake fluid change every two years. Some people get wiper blades and brakes( if they are really slamming on the brakes).
Google the Mike Miller old school maintenance schedule and follow it if you are keeping your
car a long time or care about it.

I would have the lifetime fluids changed on my own dime as I did with my car .

There is no 36k service. Instead, BMW uses Condition Based Servicing which is explained in your Service/Warranty manual. Also, see "Service requirements" in your Owner's manual to learn how to read the service info from your iDrive and/or dash computer. It will indicate when the next service is due for Oil, Brakes, Brake fluid and any inspections. These are all covered ny BMW during the 4 year/50k mile warranty period.

Go ahead and take your car into the BMW dealer of your choice. They will read the key fob and tell you exactly what services have been performed on the car and what and when will be coming up.

At a minimum you can tell them your wipers are streaking and get new blades out of the visit.
