Coolant for 325i

Do I need a special antifreeze for my 2006 325i? I have replaced the thermostat and water pump. Can I use Peak? Or go to dealer?
Thanks
Dan

You need special anti freeze. BMW coolant or equivalent. This is very important as the phosphates, I believe, in standard anti-freeze interact with the aluminum in the BWM cooling system radiator materials. Also, dilute coolant with distilled water 50:50. Very important!

Ditto.

There's risk in using unqualified material, as it may cause deposits and/or problems with BMW's metallurgy.

Or not....your call.

Whichever, use naught but distilled or demineralized water.
