Un EFFING believable!!!

I haven't posted for quite some time because I've been super busy, and my car has been running super good (182k) after working out the bugs via this forum... So, why am I posting NOW?

A skateboarder crashed into my car WHILE IT WAS PARKED

Hi,

Did you have a chat with the skateboarder? if so, work out a deal with him to pay for the damage? he's most likely not going to have any form of insurance so if your good record on claiming on your vehicle insurance policy is something you don't want to lose, get the wing replaced and repainted yourself and have him pay for it ?

If you didn't get to chat to the skateboarder, looks like you've either got to put a claim in or repair it yourself and treat it as if it was a hit and run by another car ..

Cheers, Dennis!

That's unfortunate. He left the DNA at the scene (looks like blood on your fender.)

I live in a town that is a bike and skate board Mecca. After numerous close calls with both doing stupid things, I've come to firmly believe that they should be required to carry liability insurance just like other vehicles. If some idiot flies off of the sidewalk into the side of your car, they should be responsible for paying for it just as if they were driving a car illegally down the walk.

Good luck insuring a "pedestrian", because they are considered as such.
But man that's a hell of a nasty ding!!! He was lucky it wasn't my car, and I didn't catch him. His head would be dinged as well.
