03 BMW 525i Touring

A couple of issues with my recwent purchase of an 03 BMW 525i with 57K miles.

1. No power at all - replaced fuse block under the passenger front seat and car starts and runs fine.
2. Now air bag light is on - no clue it was not there until I removed the passenger seat to fix the fuse block. Any ideas?
3. The rear lift gate/hatch would open but just a slight vibration would close it shut any ideas hiow to fix this?

If you did NOT disconnect the negative battery cable before disconnecting ANY of the electrical connectors for the SRS (supplemental restraint system)...then this is probably why the SRS (airbag) light is illuminated. This warning is in just about every thread that deals with this issue...or anytime an airbag or seatbelt connection is discussed. Also, if you reconnect the battery cable and you still have an SRS electrical connector disconnected...this too will illuminate the light. The system sees this as a malfunctioning sensor...thus the light will need to be reset...there is no "driveway" or simple reset procedure for this light since it deals with a system that can be fatal for the car's occupants...and expensive for BMW through litigation. You will need to have a dealer reset the SRS light or puchase aftermarket equipment that SPECIFICALLY says that it can reset the SRS system.

3. Struts? They don't last forever.

Thanks on the climate control can I change just the buttons? or do i have to change the whole thing? oh on another thing the drives seat back rest does not recline completely only one side moves the side closer to the passenger seat does not move with the opposite side. thanks again

I got most of the quirks done on this car now is the time for a re-paint. Should I paint it the same color? Black? Suggestions welcome
