Number of speaker connectors - front door

Hi all,

On the driver's side front door, is there just one speaker connector behind the door card, or are there multiple connectors, maybe one for each (3) speakers?

I have DSP, with 3 speakers on the front door(s). One speaker sits atop the door card, almost in the A pillar, the next sit high on the door card, and the 3rd sits on the bottom part of the door card.

Just wanted to know if there are 1, 2 or 3 connectors behind the door card for these speakers.

Thanks.

It's been a long time since I had the door card off of an e39...but I do believe there are 3 separate speaker wires.

What I do remember well is...pay attention when disconnecting them because the biggest mistake people make is mixing up the connector for the tweeter that's near the A pillar with another connector that has the same amount of wires running to it as well as pin configuration.

If your tweeter is silent after putting everything back together...then you mixed up the connectors.

Yes 3 separate connections. Each speaker is connected to the amp. What are you trying to do?

I posted something like 100 photos of the front driver side door regulator replacement, with a shot of every single wire in the door if the OP is interested in scrolling through the pics to see the wires ...

It's in these threads ...
