I am SICK of brake dust!!!

How can you tell when you need new brake pads?
Do the breaks squeek?
Or is it based on mileage?

Typically trips a brake pad wear sensor, which throws this warning light:

I recently noticed another thing that brake dust has tainted, my b pillars on each side have a nice dusting on them. Grey cloth + brake dust= ugly. I think since our cars have vented brakes the airflow is pushing the dust out of the wheel onto everything.

Still on the same pads. Getting close to 40k miles on them. They are Pagids and I am impressed. Though I am more than likely going with the Green pads from EBC soon. Still get insane dust for now........But I can stop on a dime and give 9 cents change!

Smolk i just picked up a beautiful 2006 zhp convertable in south carolina and drove it back to Texas.
Went through your fine city and DAMN lots of windy crappy highways anf freeways there ! I can see where you use your brakes harder than normal

Since the brake dust is really graphite dust you can get brakes that dont use as much graphite or use a different composite?
