Trip Meter Resets
2009 335i e90.
I've had the car for about 4k miles now and I've noticed that the trip meter reset itself multiple times during this stretch. I'm not sure at what values it did it for earlier cases, but I was driving this weekend and it reset somewhere around 800 miles. Is it supposed to reset itself or am I looking at a potential battery issue? |

I say low battery. Mine has does the same over the past 2 years. I place the battery on a tender & it's solved until the next time. g/l

You sure you didn't get to 1000? after 999 it rolls back to 000. I don't mean to be sarcastic in suggesting this either…
If not that, then maybe it could be the battery. Before I took my car on a few long road trips (12+ hour stretches) the clock would go out of time and funky stuff like that. |
