In order to be of value, this thread needs to be a sticky. Otherwise it just scrolls off the page. You get it to be a sticky and I'll join in.

Good man!

Here are some exterior pics of ours even though it is an old soul 09.2009 build date... 2 glamour shots pre-tinting & roof rack, 2 shots post-tinting w/ roof rack and bike. Only interiors I currently have are fuzzy shots of our Golden Retriever in the back seat

This car looks amazing with 21"s and M-Sport You're making me very jealous sir

All you need are H&R Springs and maybe wrap the roof black and this car will look perfect although I don't think AW suits the car, I think the GT looks sleeker in dark colors, but that's my 2 cents.

Was going for Imperial Blue but got shutdown by the Mrs she rejected the H&R too. Dreaming on ordering an M5 as justification

Red caliper really pop with black wheel, nice setup!

I'll spend money on function, the actual look doesn't matter. For example, while mud flaps may not look fantastic, they do protect the fenders, and I put a set on. A black car with dark interior just gets too hot sitting in the sun most places - does it look nice? Matter of opinion, but boy is it hard on things. Had to do some work in Yuma, AZ one time, and the car rental company handed out a couple of pot holders with the keys...I wondered why until I tried to open the door handle or hold onto the steering wheel! Believe me, black doesn't help!

More important things in life than bling on the car, but go for it, if it suits you. First thing I look for in a vehicle, is can I get in and out comfortably, and once in, how comfortable it is. The higher seat height and vertical space on the GT works for me...in the BMW line, the only other vehicle with the seat/door sizing that is comfortable to get in/out of is the 7-series. The X-series has some height, but their seats don't go that low, and the actual space is smaller.

Living in snow country with freeze/thaw cycles, our roads are subject to some nasty potholes. The snow/slush tend to cover them up, so you can't always tell where they are. Bigger wheels/tires just don't make a lot of sense. Throw in the fact that MA, which is just a few miles away has some of the poorest specifications on road build/repair, and you'd question bigger wheels/tires, too. NH has a road flatness requirement written into any of the state road build/repair, and it is VERY noticeable when you cross the boarder to MA (where I commuted to for work until I retired) - their roads give the shocks a good workout since they are not flat, waver side to side and rarely have a decent approach to an underpass.

It's still interesting to see what others find important...just, my priorities are different than many.

I looked into just the Sport wheel not the M Sport one. I couldn't believe the price here in Canada (nearly $2000). Not only that, if it has to be shipped from Germany it has to come to North America by ship because of the airbag in it. A customer here at my dealer ordered one for his 5 Series and it did not fit when it finally arrived.

I would have loved to upgrade but at that price I can like the original one.

Yeah I was looking into the DCT motorsports option, They actually completely strip your wheel and make it look like and M sport one for about 650 bucks, and you can customize any way you want!

Sounds like a junk yard search is in order for that crazy price and that's ludicrous that it didn't even fit. I've been thinking about doing this to find ceramic controls on the "cheap" but best I found is $400 for the radio and transmission (but that was for the whole shifter assembly and radio control panel). If BMW sold a ceramic upgrade kit for $600 or so I'd jump on that...

Yeah I'd upgrade to ceramic as we'll if they offered it separately.

Honestly, the H&R springs majorly improve the handling and steering of the GT, giving it a much more sporty feel, but ride comfort is fully maintained. You can tell her this is from someone's who's wife was also skeptical at firsts, but then fell in love with the dropped look and still enjoys the comfort of the car.

Nice, we are gaining some traction on this thread and thank you all for the participation.

Welcome to post your Winter setup as well, it would provide good reference for fellow member like wheel/tire selection. If polar vortex ever hit us in CA (knocking on the wood ), I for sure will be sporting with Aplina 19 plus Pirelli Winter Carving Edge .

I absolutely love gt=hi&bye wheels. Unique, multi-colour, and size (19"). For me they are the perfect understated bling and ability to get your hands in there for easy cleaning!!

Yes, you must not have the necessary NSA clearance...and you're on a need to know basis and you don't need to know

Truthfully though I cannot see them either
