E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

e30 Hesitation/Shudder

My 1987 325e with an automatic has a serious shudder as its accelerating. It happens between 25-35 mph when accelerating, then smooths out after that. I know at least one vacuum hose needs replaced (Waiting for the part to ship), could this be causing the problem? Thanks for any suggestions!

You probably have the same exact problem as me. Same car and everything It's *most likely* the driveshaft. Yours might be just the center support bearing and the flex disc/guibo, like what I thought mine was. But mine ended up more serious, the irreplaceable and unserviceable u-joints were bad too. I'm having to get a whole new driveshaft. You can either get the flex disc and center support bearing and take it to a mechanic, or go all in for a new driveshaft

All could be fuel pressure, maybe time for a new fuel filter.

I have the exact same issue and mine is a 325IS standerd. In mine we replaced the fuel pumps, O2 sensors, fuel injectors, wiring harness, spark plugs and did a fuel pressure testing. They didn't work for me, but they are good things to check on your car if you feel like some general maintenance.

I know this thread has likely ended, but I finally solved the issue myself on my car: turns out the ignition coil can be faulty and not show the normal burn marks. Only use the OEM type ignition coil, that may be the issue if you haven't fixed it yet. :P
