Are we talking 1-3 months or 4+?

1. Get an oil change
2. Put the battery on a tender
3. Gas up and put in fuel stablizer (i'd say for 3+ month storage)
4. Either overinflate tires a little bit than what they are now or jack it up on all corners. (To avoid flat spots)
5. Place moth balls or Irish Spring soap (?) in the car to keep rats away
6. Cover it! Dust =

Just get good winter tires and enjoy. I've driven RWD cars for years in the snow - and winters are looooooong here. X-Drive will be nice this winter though.

Who makes a quality battery tender? Hope this is not Hi-jacking cause I would not park one without a tender.

100 % iso alcohol with a full tank of v power or Sunoco 94 if available. Napa should have it.

If you can look or research the ingredients it's most likely just 100% iso alcohol with a private label, if so then use it, it wont hurt a damn thing. It's Imperative that you know it's 100% meaning no water or.

I've been driving RWD since the 70s and every car has been great in snow but only if you have a good set of snow tires and use common sense. BMWs are lots of fun in the snow.
My current F10 is the first Xdrive I've owned. I'm looking forward to using it this winter.
Otherwise, any suggestions I have, have been covered.

I have 3 other options between a honda, civic and a jetta. My 535 is also xdrive. but the sand and salt on the streets in CT will ruin your paint and finish. I assume this is the same anywhere else if they treat the road with some sort of ice melting solution
