Need uplifting commentary

I am in withdraw, my car has been in the shop for a week now. No waking up in the morning what may go wrong.. No driving to work (been having the wife take me or driving the vette ) and no BMW period.

I am having my 100,000 mile - empty your wallet experience and its just taking way to long. The coolant pipe is being replaced, water pump, thermostat, expansion tank, and all coordinating gaskets and tubes.

On top of the normal engineering fail of what a n62 BMW motor has, I am also replacing the plugs, coils, and all the bushings in the front end. My car is a 02 and it seems that you have to replace the whole arm, joke....

Anyway, the car is due to be finished up this Thursday. I am so hoping that there will be some kind of BMW god that will give my car some kind of over the top power while driving her home after I pay off the second mortgage on the home that I had to take out for the repairs.

I have never loved but hated a car so much.

2 days to go.

That sux bro, at least when you get it back all the major stuff will be done. This is one of the main reasons i try to buy cars with super low miles, and sell them with low miles before the "drain" starts.

Yeah i forgot bout limited milage on leased cars. But seems like u keep it low anyways. Well some ppl cant have the luxury to buy cars almost new and sell them. I know ppl that return cars to the dealer if there is a scratch on it and simply take new one. Lol i wish. Maybe one day

How long should the coolant supply pipe last? Mine is a 2004 and I have heard the weep hole issue is not as much of an issue as it was for 2002 and 2003's.

Still it i think. Depends how u treat ur car. Dont shut it off right after u started wait till it worms up. Dont drive when its cold etc etc all counts

Look at it this way. Paying 3200 dollars now sucks but it beats having to make a car payment every month.

if its a N62 ... it can go at any time. BMW Did and has done nothing about this moters design. Any v8 block N62 is effected Some 5 series, Land Rover, some X5 and the 7

and is not the pipe, its the 3 dollar rubber o-ring that is at the front and the rear of the coolant pipe

I have to face the fact that the car has over 100,000 miles and is due for some loving. The coolant pipe is a fail and there are several more items that can and will go wrong
with this car. I am about 99% thru all the electronic bugs and I think I need a new Navigation computer in the boot. My L7 was making strange noises about 8 months ago and I was sure I needed to replace it, but after replacing the alt, Battery and registering the car everything has worked itself out

The max AC problem was a long and drawn out process with a shop that was registering the battery with software that would never work

In all I am really looking forward to Tomorrow....... I hope it is done as I was told it was worked on for the last two days.

I just hope the guy warking on the car does a nice job and takes his time - and doesnt scratch it - for a 2002 I have only 2 small chips up front and one small scatch on the drivers side rear door. My wife always complains when I park out in BFE - I drop her off at the door???????????

I almost came so close to buying a 911 Carrera Cab. It was an 02 and had 45,000 miles. I took it for a drive with my 9 yr old in the back, he said he got a free massage the back seat is past vertical......and way too dam small.
