Hi... Christopher in Burbank CA here.
I've been reading these forums for years, it seems ... but this may be my first post... not sure.
I currently own 2 Bimmers: a 1980 320i E21 and a 1992 318ic (convertible) E30
I've joined to get an idea how to best pass along my 320i to the next owner.
I was thinking I might sell the engine first because it's in such good condition.
While the car still runs, has passed smog (CA), doesn't leak not one drop of fluids anywhere and has an up-to-date registration, My friend thinks the engine might be worth more as a stand-alone item rather than selling the car.
That's not to say the car is in great shape. It has some rust issues, the manual shift lost a piece and now shifts really sloppy and the bushings/wishbone for the front end needs work.
Aside from all that, it's been a great car to me for the last 7 years.
Anyway, that's what I'm here to find out.
I look forward to getting some feedback. See you in the forums.
