Lock system problems
I have a 2001 325i sedan. The keyless remote does not work when I try to lock or unlock the doors or trunk. Not even after I drive around for a while. The lock on the driver's side door also doesn't work. The central locking button inside does work. I thought that it might be the key fob so I purchased a new key from the dealership. When they tried to sync the new key to the car it failed. I asked them if there was anything else that might be the problem and they said that I might need a new sensor.
I don't put a lot of faith into what dealerships tell me when it comes to cars. So - I'm reaching out here. Any ideas?
