Oil leak smoking bad.

I had a burning oil smell and smoke coming from the passenger side which I thought was the vcg replaced it all seem good for a few days . Well same thing now tighten it down a little more but still smoking and that smell. I used the sealant like in the stated spots . My question is on the passenger side is there anywhere else it could leak besides the vcg my car is a 04 330i thanks in advance . This is killing me

You shouldn't keep tightening it. It suppose to stop by itself at one point. If it keeps turning you probably broke the engine stud.

You should change the rubber washers, but the bolts are reusable. It could be that the VCG is just dry and needs replacing. Cover is probably fine, leaks are common. Do some searching and you will see many threads on this - VCG.

Sometimes the leak of VCG is the symptom and not the cause. It could also be that you CVV is malfncitioning, and or hoses attached too it, causing too much pressure in the head and thereby contributing to your leak.

Search for CVV (Crankcase Ventilation Valve, some call it CCV) and you will find many threads on how to test. Check out youtube too.
