Xm or Sirius Install
I have a 2007 X3 with nav.. I have looked for the factory sirius unit and will cost between 300 and 400, it has all the hook ups for sirius. I would like to know if anyone has used the blitzsafe converter and used xm and if so what is the p/n used to do this. I have looked at their website and there are many different types to use with xm.

I got a Sirius radio from Sirius online for under $50 and installed it where the ashtray is. I removed the ashtray actually and placed the unit there. I wired the electricity into the back of the center console and plugged the audio in the aux input in the back of the center console. It's not "factory", but it works great and doesn't look half bad either.
When I searched for an OEM unit I was not finding any and they were upwards of $700-$900 from BMW, so I passed. $300 is actually a good deal and it may be worth it to keep the factory clean look. |
