Indicator brake lamp?? I know most E46's have a separate indicator when brake pads are low. Usually it's an amber color. A red "brake" indicator is your parking brake lever which if it's down, then you have a fault switch. If it's amber along with an amber DSC, then the traction modules are not functioning. You'd have to give a more detailed description on what you see and what color it is.

roverT,

The indicator lamp (triangle with an exclamation in it) and the light with the word "brake" are both on in color amber.
I believe this got to do with the DSC system.

You likely have a bad wheel speed sensor. The only way to tell which one for sure is to go to a shop that has a scanner that can tell you.

OR you accidentally held down your DSC button and turned it of. Push your DSC button and see if they go off.
