Weird warning light combinationů.

Hi,

I have had this intermittent recurring problem. The warning lights for the following systems simultaneously light up:

Brake
4x4
Airbag
Electric cooling fan starts and continues to run (even when engine cold).

I can usually cancel it by driving in reverse and turning the wheel from one full lock to the other. Now the lights are on all of the time.

I have attached a picture of the dashboard lights.

The car is a 2009 X3 X Drive 3.0 diesel.

Regards.

I assume your washer fluid level and brake fluid level were checked and are OK?

Did they all start coming on at the same time?

Hi DangermouseX3,

The washer fluid level warning indication was correct, I had been just too lazy to refill it!

Yes, all of the listed lights came on simultaneously, together with the electric cooling fan.

I managed to fix the problem a few hours ago. It turned out to be the main battery, which we changed and the problems went away!

A happy and reasonably cheap ending!

Regards.
