Let's count how many people drive Diesel Powered BMW in the Boston Area and New England
I'll start a list, so we know how many we are. Feel free to add yourself to the list and update it.

Let's see first how many BMW D cars are around. The winter is coming and I don't know if there will be a nice weekend ahead for a meet.
We can setup a BMW D meet after the winter let's say in March for example.

BTW my name is Tony, I am European and can say I am glad that I am not the only one who appreciates and takes advantage of the hi-tech German diesel technology

I have a couple friends from the UK, they said it was very European of me to buy a diesel.

Sounds like a plan else in summer NE group organizes Climb to Clouds which is usually to Mt Washington. This year I was only 1 with diesel out of 30 cars. Next time we can have bigger d group.

It is European!
I share the idea to be different plus I used to drive Audi A4 TDI back in Europe years ago, and I love the diesel cars.
I was a long wait to get BMW diesel here in US, and I can't be more than happy to finally have it!

We can make the same meet and trip and call it "The cloudless Ultimate Oil Burners in the clouds"

I wanted to go this year but was preparing for our 1 month ED trip to get the 335d. That plus I was selling my E90330i at the time.

Nothing beats the d going uphill!

anyone here lives in medford? I was coming back from MIT through internal routes and saw Black 335d non sp parked on Auburn St near Whole foods in Medford. Nice car. I usually hover around that place so if in case I see you I will stop to say hello

The weather is getting better which is a sign that we can set up a BMW Diesel meet

They did the same thing last year, that is the Canadian Grand Prix weekend. I will be in Montreal with my d.

we have quite no of people for get together. We can start thinking of setting up a venue for meet if everyone on list is interested. I live in rented apt so I cant think of anything beyond park or any Mall parking lot. Lets do a diesel meet.

Yes, we have to start thinking about a Sunday date for the meet. I also rent an apartment. We can pick some public park for the meet, or another option is if any of the owners with a house and a yard is willing to host the BMW diesel-BBQ meet.

Other thoughts: if the gasoline prices keep climbing, we might expect much wider range of diesel powered cars on the US market. Talking about BMW diesel, 320d manual transmission would be nice. If they bring it on, this would be the only car that would make me think of retiring my E46 M3

What does the 3 stand for? I plan on going this year as well. Too bad we can't get the mountain to ourselves afterward!
