Fender Bender--What to have checked?

Yesterday a Mercedes G500 decided to crash into the back passenger side of my beloved E39 and I am wondering what things I should make sure to have the body shop and mechanic take a look at. The damage is immediately behind the rear wheel and part of the fender is crushed in. There is a nice mark on the tire but the rims escaped with only a slight abrasion. The side of the trunk where the battery is stored is crushed in about 2 inches. Also, is there any reason why I couldn't switch to an M5 bumper seeing as it needs to be replaced anyways? If anyone knows a reputable body shop in Denver or Boulder Colorado that I can take it to it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hope it's not totaled. That's a lot of quarter panel damage.

If there is any suspension damage, it may be done for good, bad qtr panel damage + the bar going across the trunk.

Boy that's a big gap between the door and the quarter panel. What direction was the other car coming from?

I was driving on hte street that goes right in front of the grocery store and she came out of an isle not looking. I have a hard time believing that they would total it...how much do you guys think repairs would cost versus the bluebook of the car (sport/premium options)?
