Odd idling ........I think
My 98 318is idle s at 500 but when I'm going 100 in 5th gear it is way up at 3000 I always thought it should be around 2500
|

OK guys, what about my problem? When I'm on the highway going 60mph, if I stick the clutch in my idle is only about 500! What do I do!?

This is why:
 Found here. And yes, I went to FAR more effort than I should have. Especially since the calculator I gave you would have been more than sufficient. End result? 3000 rpm in 5th with the final drive ratio of 3.45:1 that came with the '98 318is means you're doing 102 km/h.
