Need 2001-2003 Touring Purchase Price Comps...please help a gal out
Hi...
My beautiful snowmobile (01 325T sport manual that has never seen snow) was involved in an accident Wednesday and thanks to the car that pulled out into oncoming traffic, my baby is likely to be totalled. Now, we enthusiasts know that e46 manual tourings are rare in the BMW world and command a price premium. Challenge is, I need to show my insurance adjustor just how rare and special they are (and what they sell for)...so that I can negotiate a proper settlement. I have been pulling comparisons on cars that were listed on e46Fanatics, bimmerforums or bimmerfest, but most of them are automatics, have higher mileage than mine (130k), do not have sport packages, or are XIs. I need at least 3 comparibles to show him that others will pay 11k for a pristine e46 manual sport touring (I have Krautuner's recent sale as a perfect example ). However, I need at least 2 more. So, if you have purchased or sold a 2001-2003 touring within the last year, particularly those with manual transmissions and/or sport packages, would you mind sharing the following with me: 1. Date purchased 2. Year 3. Approx mileage when purchased 4. Options 5. Condition when purchased 6. Where the car lived most of its life 7. Modifications 8. Recent maintenance prior to purchase 9. A link to the purchase website, your for sale ad, etc. Feel free to PM me if you'd prefer to keep this info private. Thanks so much. Sad Jen ![]() PS...And if you stopped by and admired my snowmobile during Bimmerfest East 2012 (I was in the e36 section, right near the entrance) or at Oktoberfest's HDPE weekend, thank you...it was nice to know that others admired my baby as much as I did. Glad I got to share it with everyone before it's likely demise....

I, too have a 2003 manual 325iT with Sport and Premium package. About two days ago, I ran it through KBB and it came up around $10K for a private sale. It has about 90K on it. I know that is not the question that you asked, but KBB might be considered a reliable source.
Good luck |

Do some research with NADA and Autotrader.
Autotrader will show you what is available in different areas. You can drill down to the specific model you are looking for and select an area to look at. You can search up to 500 miles from your city or select another city. Try the larger metro areas. That is how I have found my cars. |

Thanks guys...I've checked Autotrader, but it only 3 manual tourings for sale in the entire US. 1 was a decent fit...but the other two were trashed with really high mileage. KBB is actually a bit low and doesn't really take into account the rareness factor, so I'm trying to find other real life examples of sale prices to balance this out.
Thanks though, for chiming in...every little bit helps to build my case!
