Unhappy Starting Issue

I just replaced my battery after seeing some forums on my issue at hand which would be that there is no crank or turn over but dash lights come on.. faint click under the hood but not the starter.. already checked the starter. Saw that the starter uses lots of amperage from the battery. so my question is if the battery i have which is 650 cranking amperage is enough to start the car even if its new.. i know it needs a 800 cranking amps battery but it seems to me like a new battery should at least start the car.

You should start with the correct battery. If its not the starter itself, it could be the wires from the starter to the battery being damaged. Have you inspected the connections? This was a big mystery for a friend that lasted a week, and took five minutes to identify and correct.

Edit; this may sound crazy, but fondle the wires behind your fuse box. Idk how many cars I've revived that way.

A new battery of any capacity will definitely start your engine if nothing else is wrong.
You need to get back to basics and start with testing your starter motor. How did you test it so far? Sounds like too much guessing here so far.

Starter uses about 175 amps.
