Tire Size?
I have a 2001 325 Ci that needs 4 new tires. The old ones on the car are the wrong size and have been since I bought the car a year ago. I have 16" rims and the owner's manual says that I can use 205/55 R16 (all season) or 225/50 R16 (summer). When I look at various online websites (tirerack.com, ntb.com, goodyear.com) they all bring up only the 205/55 R16 size when I input my year, make, and model. I even called the dealer and he also said the only size for the 16" rims is the 205/55 R16. So why does my owner's manual give another option and why don't any websites show the other size? I would like to put the wider tires on but if there is some reason not to do so I would like to know. Thanks.

225/50s of any variety will work just fine. Don`t sweat it....
