Got my 650i GC 2 days ago

Not even via Special Order? I ordered my current Coupe that way and submitted the very same S/O request on my GC that just went into production. (Man, will I be pissed if it doesn't include the Shadowline...)

How much discount were you able to get on the Gran Coupe? If you don't mind me asking..

Nice write up. Wish we had soft close doors. It confuses the valet attendants when they try to close the door softly.

the worse part is that the 2013 coupe has soft close doors but not the gran coupe.
and 5 series has power open and close trunk and 6 series has no such option. it opens but to close we have to use hands.
6 series has last generation comfort access where we have to manually open the trunk and the 3 and 5 have the hands free feature .

Update:

I just received an updated Build Sheet on my GC now that my car is headed to the final build stage and "Shadowline Trim" is officially on the list (at $350). So, the Special Order process appears to have worked again.

Come to find out that my sales guy had put in the order for my car without a deposit from me.
He told me that the car just finished production. He also told me I don't have to take the car if I change my mind but I have the first priority. I'm a little upset I couldn't get shadowline trim on my car but oh well. I guess I'll have to use black vinyl.

I think if you try hard enough, I am almost positive I read this before for another model. You can actually order the shadowline trim from bmw and pay the dealer to install it. I would also guess that the vinyl would cost half as much as that though.

I have a theory that BMW is saving all the options that we want for LCI

Don't forget, we're also missing the new nav. We leased this vehicle, if we like the options in three years, we may purchase the next GC. We didn't want to buy this one as it was missing too much stuff.
