What is Real? 2013 550ix GT

Our GT is set for build week 14 and we will pick up in Germany mid-April.
I've been reading all I can in case I want to add or delete an option or package.
The on-line 2013 North American Operator's Manual clearly defines some options that I don't trust will b eon the vehicle.
Does anyone have a recent 2013 built that can offer any input? If so it would be most appreciated.

1) Page 42 it clearly defines the touch-free tailgate (waving of the foot) as being part of Comfort Access. This is not shown on the Build pages but certainly would like to have it. Not4 that this manual is GT specific and even uses different wording than the Sedan OM.

2) On Pages 81-85 it clearly defines the operation and existence of the newly released MultiFunction Instrument display. Again, I can see it on the 5 Sedan build but not the GT build, yet this manual is specific to North America GT series

1. Has the touch free tailgate in association with the Comfort Access package.
2. It does have a Multifunction Instrument Display which is a "hybrid" containing both analog and digital functions. The provided information does vary based on the drive settings (ECO, Comfort, etc.)

The car is simply great and is truly an enjoyable driving experience. Wonderful combination of handling, power, and comfort.

Have you done European Delivery before (so much to do, so little time)?

Thanks Simi. We have never done ED before. Arrive Munich 4-10 and get car 4-11. Make stops and arrive Amsterdam to drop off on 4-19 then spend a second day there before we fly home and wait.

We picked up our GT 2 1/2 years ago. You are about to have a great experience. The wait and anticipation is nothing like the 4 week wait you will have AFTER dropping your car off.

Hi Pistachio, just wanted to double check if by touch free tailgate you mean that you can open it with the foot kick.

Yes, the trunk will fully open by swiping your foot under the rear bumper.

Thanks for the confirmation. Very good news that our BMW dealer even denies exists ... lol ... looking forward to doing a demo for them when it gets stateside

Won't you be able to confirm at your ED?

Also, can you or anyone with a 2013 check if you can also close it with your foot, fob, or cockpit button?

The trunk closes by pushing a button on the inside of the trunk lid. I am not aware of a remote method of closing the trunk, although I wouldn't exclude this possibility.

To close remotely, you would need to pay a visit to the coding forum to learn what your options are. I've read that there are options, but am not inclined to fiddle with the software on a leased car.

Might as well. All of the software used is BMW software. You're not voiding any warranty by turning options on/off.

The cars software can be coded to enable closing from the fob and interior button.
