Squeal in drive and reverse not park or neutral

I have read the wiki and completed a search but have not seen this described. I have a squeal from the front of the engine but it only occurs when the car is in drive or reverse and not part of neutral. I think it is a tensioner or pulley. Is there one or the other that only is engage when the car is put in gear?


I am replacing the DISA (I can hear the clicking inside very well and confirmed it is that part with a stethascope) and cleaning the ICV this weekend to address some rough idle. I would like to repair my squeal at the same time. It embarrasses me as I go through drive through windows.

Also have to replace the windshield washer pump as it is leaking.

Rear shocks are after that. So I am going to call Max and place an order this week and want to get the right parts.

It will be a fun weekend if I can figure this one out.....
