E82 / E87 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

Question Driver Side Mirror knocked off 2010 128i

New to the forums and I. Had an unfortunate thing happen to my 128i while parked in tight space over the weekend. Went to leave and found that someone had decapitated my driver side mirror. It was sitting on the ground busted and bruised. Preliminary research on costs tells me the cost to replace will not much exceed my deductible so I'll be replacing myself. Or, at least out of pocket. The glass is broken. I will assume the motor is fine. Housing is fine except for minor scratches. The physical connection that gave way appears to be a few rounds of threading. The decapitated mirror seems to have a male thread and the female thread is still on the mirror rather than the mounting plate (wrong word I am sure). My question is whether or not I can find the mounting plate as a part and the glass itself for a price cheaper than just dropping it off and letting a body shop ripp me a new one. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!

Real oem can help you find the necessary parts. I made a few assumptions (vert and fold in mirror option) and came up with these part numbers:
