2001 x5 3.0 with loose plastic line HELP PLEASE!!!

first of all im a new member and I want to say I've learned so much from this forum already.

Ok I have what lloks like a VAC line loose in my X5 engine compartment. looking at the front of the suv the plastic line is on the right side behind the air intake elbow. The loose line looks as if its coming from the fire wall almost and pops up in a hook shape, kinda like a clothes hanger hook looks. I don't know if its broken or if it was connected to anything....but ive been looking and cant find any matching locations....any X5 owners 3.0 let me know....I attached pics to give everyone an idea of what I see. I removed the "DISA" and the intake elbow. to make room for me to look around.....Thanks for your time Tim

That is supposed to be like that, it's just a breather line... I believe it comes from the back of the intake manifold.
