On a very different note, somehow I did think of you and your family when Sandy hit. Hope all is well. BJ - I spoke with 328i2013 a bit ago, and he claimed that he spent the last holiday at a certain "beach house" with a certain "trophy wife".

You won't need the ceramic brakes because the standard brakes are excellent, IMO. That saves what, like $5,000?

Besides the superior braking performance, the ceramic brakes, like the lightweight forged wheels, reduce unsprung weight which improves suspension compliance, steering response, braking, and acceleration. Porsche options are expensive, but it really depends if one wants a Porsche for show, or go. Besides, I wouldn't want anyone to call the Boxster and underwhelming boat.

When you option a $50,000 car to cost $100,000 I'm fairly certain leaving a single option off because it cost $5,000 is inconsequential.

There's more to performance than horsepower!

A seat that fits you better is a seat that allows you to acheive higher levels of performance since you are properly secured in your sitting position. The SportDesign Steering wheel comes with proper paddle shifters which allow you to keep boths hands on the wheel while shifting. I thought since you were planning on buying a Boxster, you would have known these about these freatures...I guess not. The Boxster S that wins the comparos comes with the performance options that I listed. Please don't buy a base Boxster and then start complaining the performance wasn't what you read about.
