Only if I would have known of this notoriety of BJ, I would have never dared to mess with him.

But I can't believe he was a champion of leatherette back in the day. He surely had grown up since...and is in a better place now.

It was fun, but that's over now.

And I still prefer leatherette. It looks as good in Month 36 as it does on Day 1 and with kids and McDonald's drivethru on the way to baseball practice it's a worry-free alternative. No one can tell its not the real thing. If Saddle was available in leatherette, I'd be sitting on leatherette.

I'm on month 63 with leather on the 335i and it looks the same as it did day 1 as does the rest of the car.

I bought my 335i in June 0f 2007 which was 5 years and 3 months ago. Mine is an E93 which was the last 335i model to be released.

I have to agree with OP on this one. Sometimes you just don't know what you are talking about. It is not fair to generalize, my bus driver attacks an apex like he is on the track. Not only my bus does not feel like a boat, it actually feels like it is flying when it is going at 45 mph. My other part of commute actually do feel like it is on the rails all the time.

Besides, many enthusiasts take public transportation so they can justify driving a Bimmer rated at 17 mpg. The best thing you can have is if you can leave the worst driving environment for someone else to deal with.

Although I understand not many people are so fortunate to have the opportunity.

You should drive around in my wife's brand new Suburu Outback. Great car for our family, no doubt. No regrets at all buying it for her. We love it.

But talk about driving around in an underwhelming boat!!!!!!

By any measure, the 328 is an absolutely terrific car. Period.

An "underwhellming boat" is just a ridiculous, provocative metaphor to use when describing the 328.

If the OP was a little more grounded, and simply said he was a little disappointed by the engine performance, this thread would never have escalated to this point...

That is not really possible. Initially people thought the OP was just trying to be provocative with the title. But after many tests, he demonstrated over and over that he truely did not know what he was talking about.

Being more grounded is to assume that he would first have a ground to be grounded on.

I have to say though his verdict on the 335i was a reasonable one. Even though his perceptions are often baseless, the 335i has enough advantages over the 328i in sensory feedback that he could have changed his mind about the 3 series just by driving the 335i.

Pretty sure thats not what 328i2013 is saying at all. I'm not sure what you are trying to say here at all. What am I generalizing about? When did I say something that I did not know what I was talking about? What does your bus driver have to do with any of this?

I realize I am on the wrong thread for this question, but not sure where to post it.

What part of test drive doesn't the OP understand? It's crazy to me to feel so 180 degrees on any new car purchase. I get buying something to get by with in a jam. But if you're looking at any new car you're spending enough money that you have SOME choice - even if its CPO etc.

That choice is - maybe you have learned this - a big one and only yours. If the post was "I test drove this car and can't understand who buys it", fine. But you bought the car of your own free will after, I assume, um, DRIVING IT!

This blows me away. Please point out exactly how you were tricked. Did they tell you the engine would grow if fed properly?
