If it's released at the time a car hits port, why not? It's the exact same scenario, only difference is the time in which the 328 PE is released.

Shame on me for posting again in this ridiculous thread but wrt the two current F30-s the dominant constraint in normal driving for those with turns and curved roads is handling not acceleration. Which is why reported track times are so similar.

Thanks! Looks very promising.

Forgot to ask, was this dyno with the exhaust only?

It seems like the turbo is running out of air towards the end of the powerband. Perfect candidate for cams and fuel compensation such as a piggyback tune. Turbo upgrade would also cure the flat curve of the HP powerband.

I'll take a free stealth box lol. THey were going to do work on my E90 335 a few years back but our schedules never matched up

Shoot over an email, can't hurt.

Mention how popular the F30 is going to be and how high visibility your EB M-Sport is and that it will be pimped all over the web.

Can you please remove the title of this thread?? I'm tired of looking at it every time I turn on the forum of our BMW fan site. Maybe you should buy a 1978 Cadillac or something to get a real underwhelming boat. Thanks.

I'm not terribly disappointed because its a beautiful luxury car.
But I don't think it's the ultimate driving machine.
Maybe the 335i is, but I've not driven it so I can't say for sure.
Already planning to get a Z4 or the new Boxster for thrillfull driving.
Hate me for saying all this.
But I simply had to say it.
And I gave it a week.
Maybe I'll feel differently in a month.
But maybe that will be cuz I might have got used to this 328i by then.

Yes, really! http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...56&postcount=2

There's another post referencing being the third most popular (now it's #2), but I'll let you find that one.

The key to a successful post count, or viewership of any subject today, is to give it an outrageous title or inject quick soundbites.

Examples, the 3 series is for heartless rich people, Prius is for mindless communists.

That can be explained due to little activity on the M boards, which requires us to scavenge off of the other boards like the F30.

A controversial thread over there would probably read something like 'M3 feels like an overwhelming boat', or 'Major mod added today.....shadowline grills .' (gasp, yikes, shudder)

So we appreciate the entertainment value of threads like this one.

If you filter the whining and banter from this thread we've actually changed the OP's mind with useful posts.

Such as proper settings to enhance the driving modes- sport.

Then expectations with the F30 chassis. No it's not a mini and it's definitely not the same as the older E46 or E9x chassis.

We've also provided links to BMW M performance upgrades. These upgrades (brakes, suspension, engine, exhaust) do get you closer to the older chassis.

Err not sure you changed his mind but you probably made him more aware that the 328 can do more then he expected. What I seem to read was that he wants a 335 now and given what he wants out of a BMW, that's what he should have bought to begin with and this 46 page odyssey would never have been spawned.

BJ btw I thought of you every time I saw a $200K 7-series on vacation in New Delhi. Thinkin they coulda been smart like you and just bought 3-series instead. Save $$$ and probably easier to drive on those super crowded roads.
