Logic 7 amp replacement

I currently have a 06 750li with a faulty logic 7 amp. Once I purchase another one will I need to have car programed to recognize new amp?

Nothing as of yet, thinking about getting another at $475 or sending mine in to be repaired for $320. I guess I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Suggestions are greatly appreciated

Did ilya changed all 4 of channals??? For 310 and did he fixed a little fan that cools chanels

Is the second photo showing the "fixed fan" with a new capacitor and the raised transistor?
I assume the failure mode is the cooling fan stops spinning?

What ever the problems was he fixed it. Most of the amps have the same problem where the capitors are bad. He is your best bet a the best price. He repairs mant of the amps also for a local dealership thats how i got wind of him.

Also want to get my .02 in about Ilya---also highly recommend him, he will rebuild your L7 for $320 and it is a plug and play item, no coding needed. It is also easy to remove.

Hey guys I have just bought an 03 and I am trying to work out the few issues I've noticed.. not sure if it's because the battery is going bad and I get a batt warning if I run car without engine for longer than a 45 sec or so.. and I can feel the alt working at idle trying to charge batt. but the other day I felt the bass after a long drive, sounded like it was from the center console but tonight after a bunch of under one mile start and stops I have really bad bass... not sure if logic7 is dying.. I tried adjusting bass from 0 to max and it makes a difference, and I have sound from all speakers, but bass is completely lacking..

Is the L7 amp hard to remove/replace to send to Ilya?

I have a bad l7 amp for sale.

The L7 is simple to remove, you take out the two metal slides holding it in and disconnect the two electrical connections. Ilya charges $325 to completely rebuild the L7 and can turn it around quickly. It is plug and play no dealer coding is needed.

Just wondering..does this guy repair ASK units as well...and will it need to be reprogrammed to car or will it be plug & play as well?

I can across this place, http://factoryradioservice.com/ They fix ASK units. I was going to send in my FM tuner to have them add the AUX plug but ended up having a friend doing it.

I think Ilya also repairs the ASK. This does need dealer coding if you replace the internals with new items.

Thanks for this info. Priceless! I need my tunes bad. I want to do the aftermarket DSP, AMP and speaker option but not ready to dig that deep in my pocket. I had a few of them replaced already but they were covered under warranty. The last time I went the dealer insisted that it was not the AMP but the SUB. Well. I waited too long and the warranty is expired. Took it to my REAL mechanic (Little Shop of Motors) and turns out it is the AMP. I just emailed Ilya so hopefully he can hook me up until I have the time to get the OEM junk gone. The OEM is actually not horrible and would suffice if the AMP would last more than a year.
