I've bought & sold numerous cars & bikes around the country over the years and I suggest Exotic Transport, which has great rates and excellent customer service. As backupstry Intercity, and then Reliable.

I've use DeMoise Trking. Covered, super careful. Drivers work for the company, long term family operation. My P turbo was the crappiest car on the truck.
ATL to NY I'd just drive it though, seems like a fun weekend.

You'll get the best rate by taking "space available", which they will tell you could be anywhere from a couple days to a couple weeks; however, rest assured that the driver will contact you when he gets the request so you'll have flexibility on a date & time.
And don't forget to ask for a military or car club discount (they never verify). |

Needless to say enclosed shipping is a lot more than on an open carrier. I only used an open carrier once and that was only because the buyer of a car I sold did not want to pay for enclosed.

I own a transport company and if anyone needs a quote or help let me know. Plus, keep in mind its now snow bird season so prices are going to be quite a bit higher than what they were during the summer months. |

Don't know if this is too late or what but just in case...
If you can possibly give yourself enough time, route your trip home through the Cherohala Skyway and Deals Gap and maybe adding NC Hwy28 and Blue Ridge Pkwy from Cherokee NC to Asheville NC before getting back on the superslab I26 to I81. Although I tend avoid DG because it's overcommercialized and overcrowded on weekends, it is still a piece of road to experience at least once. It'd be a shame to not hit it up on your way from GA to NY. PM me if you need any details.
