Will 16" wheels fit an E60 xi with the proper offsets?

Have been looking at E46 wheels for snow tires, many come in 16" and I can go down to a 205 tire. Just wasn't sure if a 16 will clear the calipers on a 530xi. Anybody know?

very few 16" rims will clear the brakes. your best bet will be E46 330i 16" rims. there was one rim that could clear at 16"

IIRC, the 530i and E46 330i had very similar caliper clearance requirements.

17" would be a much better bet

We have not found a single 16" wheel that clears the brakes on this car, sorry. 17" appears to be the smallest diameter that will clear.
