Lost steering wheel resistance - 528xi
Hello guys! It's my first post here, although i've been reading this forum for almost two years. I bought my 2008 528xi two years ago and it had no major problems until now
 I got into this bump and my car started making this loud noise. Mechanic showed me my 6 engine mounts completely broken. He replaced them but still waiting for some kind of "pillow" that needs to be replaced as well. I also noticed that steering wheel lost its resistance He doesn't know the answer yet. Any suggestions? Is my car will ever drive as it used to?

Your car will drive as it used too as long as your mechanic is worth his salt. This must be costing you a pretty penny. I hope you are filing this with your insurance.

Lost steering resistance came back!
Guys.....
please don't make fun of me, i know, i'm a woman and my explanations sound stupid SOMETIMES, but i took my car to Mitchell's autorepair and after testdriving my car he said it's absolutely normal. So i drive it now and IT IS as it used to be. It feels different comparing to my husband's 328i with sport package, that i had to drive while fixing mine. But i see it's ok now. Any other recomendations for a good autorepair place in Brooklyn?

If lost steering resistance I guess you have car with steering assister.(active steering ) So it's actuator that is helping you move the steering wheel at stop and low speed, so maybe this actuator is faulty.

If you have active steering and its faulted it will feel like the steering is loose.Easy turn to turn movement.Mine did this with low fluid and was faulted.

go to BMW dealer with vin number and ask them to run your car for options. or use this http://www.rubmw.ru/vincode/eng/
