malware?

I got a "threat was blocked" warning from AVG several times on Bimmerfest this morning. Maybe a bad ad?

Do you happen to remember what specific page you got the warning on?

Any specific threads that give you the warning or all over the site?

I was researching this more and it appears as though this *might* have something to do with AVG. Multiple users on their forums are saying this started happening from an update yesterday. See here:

We will keep an eye on things to see if AVG reports it as a problem. Thanks for alerting us to it!

Most likely a "false positive", AVG is known to produce a lot of them (see www.av-comparatives.org and www.av-test.org latest tests) I have no such warnings from other antivirus programs (MSE, Kaspersky) I use on PC's that access these forums.

It seemed to happen randomly, that's why I thought it might be related to an ad.

Later in the day I got similar warnings on other sites. So probably is AVG false alarms. If it continues, I'll see if I can find a pattern.

I see that my AVG updated at 5:27 PM (Eastern US) yesterday. And there's another update available now ... so hopefully that will take care of it.
