coolant leak

finally found the coolant leak on my 95 525i. it seems to originate from the back of the block around the exhaust manifold headers. i will take some pics and post them after work(if im not too tired). anyone experience this?

I doubt its a block leak .I would be checking hoses that connect to the block under the intake manifold there is a small one that is prone to split,I think the one to warm the intake throttle body. Also a heater hose from block could leak.

Freeze plug?

u may be right about that small hose. i removed the throttle body and guess what... the intake and out take were CLOGGED. screwed a long thin screw in the holes and just kept pulling out solid green gunk. maybe the hose burst from pressure build up. who knows for sure. i am going to continue with the intake removal tomorrow, need to get at the starter and get it rebuilt. im going to go and take some snap shots and post them 2morrow. Thanks for the advice Luckydog.

freeze plug? those are below the exhaust headers right? aboot (im canadian) 2inches in diameter? its from above those.

Head gasket? Mine on leaks on cylinder 6.

Hi all.

I had a coolant leak from the hose connecting the block to the heater valve, on the block side. It's also around that area.
