Key Help

Hey guys, I've had my 2009 328xi for a few years. I just got a 2012 528xi and will let my son drive the 328. I've only had 1 key, but am concerned a teenager could lose it, so I ordered a new key from my indy who gets it from his key guy. It came from the factory with my vin on it. He said all I had to do was plug it in and it should work....it didn't. It wouldn't "click" in, so I took it back to him today. He said that all 10 slots were filled and that the only option would be to replace the CAS module.

Is there a way to delete one of the 10 slots with coding?

Thanks,
Tim
