E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135.

135i cabrio question

Hi! I recently got my hands on a 2008 135i convertible. Loving the car so far. One question though. I found a mystery piece of plastic in the trunk and have no idea what it could be. Some pictures are attached. Thanks in advanced for the help!

looks to me like the plastic shroud for the convertible top "storage bay" - ie, where the top resides when it is retracted. When you flip up the two levers on either side of the bay (in the trunk) you can increase/decrease boot size.

Thanks for the reply!... but nothing seems to be missing there. There is a fixed handle to increase the storage area. I tried it everywhere.... guess I'll throw it out so then I'll figure out where it goes...
