Log IN OUT Sundy Drop-Off Question

I plan to drop of my car at Log-In-Out on Sunday (4/28) and I know I need to pay extra and need reservation for the time, but should I contact them now (before picking up my car, which will be on the 23rd) or should I wait till I got my car from the Welt?

I'm not trying to be cute about my reply; seriously, contact them in advance, and then when you get there, send another e-mail to confirm.

These sorts of things affect your schedule (i.e. flights) and you don't want them to go wrong.

Much of your Euro Deliv trip will have interconnecting points and transfers/switch-offs of cars and people and hotels and planes, and you don't want to leave it to chance.

You'll have a much better time on the entire trip knowing that you've got all the connections confirmed, especially while you're actually traveling.

Take lots of pictures and videos. Do a couple of Victory Laps. Maybe three. Get video of you doing a full lap. Hopefully you're doing the tours and everything they offer. The Welt is awesome...explore.

It's going to be a blast!

Back in 2006 when I did a Sunday drop off, I had it confimed in advance. After that, I simply drove the car over there on my delivery date, filled out the paperwork, I think I left them one of the key fobs (this policy may be different now), and they showed me where to park on the drop off day. Then I was on my way. They did not charge extra for Sunday drop off back then.

I know you are serious, this is my second ED but it's the first time drop off on Sunday. I've already send email this morning to confirm my date/time of drop-off and waiting for reply Thank you

BTW, is it going to be extra 50 Euro for Sunday drop off or 200 Euro?

Anytime after saturday after 2pm local time will be 200 euros I believe.

I just did a drop off and dropped it off in the morning on Sunday before my flight.

Yea...I just got an email reply and they said Sunday drop off is 200 Euro...I might change my plan and drop off on Sat and use the saving of the 200 Euro to rent an M5...let me think...

The Sunday drop worked best for me. I did 1700 miles in five days and found value (200 euros worth) in taking a breather about getting my car to the drop.

you should reserve/make appointment now and confirm later once you pick your car. On my February ED, I made the last appointment for the day at 4:00pm. Well, they forgot my appointment (see the funny note, when it is not happening to you, on their door). fortunately, my flight was leaving the next morning and when I called them, someone came back within the hour.

Well then, we should see you there! Our arrival time is slated for 9:00; delivery at 10:30. I'd like to push the delivery time up just a bit because we've got the factory tour scheduled for 11:45.

... at least by Oct 2011 they still do not charge for Sunday drop off if the paperwork is pre-filled in advance. Just drop off the car on their parking lot at the Munich airport.

The 200 Euro charge is for a LogInOut employee to show up on a Sunday to do the paperwork.

Ah, perfect! You'll get to view the plant where your new baby was assembled. On our first ED we toured the Dingolfing plant where our E60 was built. It was a great tour, much better from what I understand, than the tour in Munich. Enjoy your trip!

Got an email reply from Log-in-out and said that with a simple no fee if paperwork done in office hour, can anyone share how does it work?

I plan to drive to log-in-out after my delivery on Tuesday and finish all the paperwork and drop off/park the car Sunday night (or even early morning right before I departed at 6am Monday, if they allow) outside their office...is that possible?

Any previous experience sharing?

I filled the paperwork on a Saturday afternoon -I think that they close by 3-4pm. Left a key with them and then went to Octoberfest. On my Sunday flight (about 5:00am) dropped the car off at their parking lot and walked to the airport entrance 500ft away. No need to pay for a taxi...

Do you know does it have to be a day before? I plan to take care of the paperwork right after pickup and M-studio tour on Tuesday, 4/23 and drop off right before my fright of 6:15am Monday 4/29...

Email reply from Log-In-Out said that there is still no fee if paperwork done during office hour for drop off outside regular hour...
