In the boot or under the rear seat. Are you sure its radio fuse and not oxide on ignition switch?

There are radio fuses behind the knee level cubby hole at drivers seat, also as stated behind sound deading trim above the battery and in UK cars the fusebox behind the glovebox

E38 Fuse Locations

BMW was kind in listing the fuses alphabetically (engine bay & trunk area) also listing the FUSE number along with providing an illustrated diagram of the numbered locations within each fuse box along with the fuse's amperage. And the cherry on top is designing & initially providing a spare fuse (of multiple amperage) in the lid of the engine bay's fuse box cover.

E38 Fuse Locations

Engine Bay Fuses

Trunk Fuses (above battery & behind insulation)
